BIOREFINERY MODEL

The production of Biosuccinium™ will utilize an integrated biorefinery to enable production of bio-based succinic acid in an economically and ecologically sound manner.  The first commercial Biosuccinium™ facility is currently under construction in Cassano, Italy. The bio-based feedstock is converted by hydrolysis and low pH yeast fermentation to Biosuccinium™. The site uses co-generation of steam and electricity as well as on-site waste water treatment to ensure the best life cycle analysis. The nearness to a harbor ensures efficient global logistics.
