While current markets for succinic acid include pharmaceuticals, food, coatings and pigments, we believe that the production of a high quality, bio-based succinic acid, such as Biosuccinium™, will cause new applications to emerge. Among these markets include the production of bio-based products and materials for packaging, industrial, sports and footwear, non-woven and fiber, automotive and agriculture markets.

Biosuccinium™ is currently available in small quantities for testing and ton quantities for purchase from our demonstration plant. We are actively seeking development partners.

Market Opportunities

While current markets for succinic acid include pharmaceuticals, food, flavor, coatings, pigments and metal plating, Reverdia believes that the production of a high quality, bio-based succinic acid, such as Biosuccinium™, will cause new applications to emerge and open new markets. These include the production of bio-based polyurethanes, polybutylene succinate (PBS), plasticizers, composite and coating resins, solvents, 1,4 butanediol and Tetrahydrofuran (THF) for usage in many end-user products like packaging, footwear, elastane clothing, shopping bags, mulch films, automotive interior and more.
